The partners of the FUTEBOL project are pleased to announce the first Workshop on Optical-Wireless Convergent Networks Joining Brazilian and European Researchers and Network Operators. FUTEBOL at Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC)

The Contribution of the paper: The paper proposes a C-RAN Architecture with BBU pool placed in proximity with the Flex-Grid Optical Transponders and use hardware function virtualization on the functions of the former and the latter, in a merged Metro-Core Central Office. FUTEBOL contributions to 3GPP SA1

The FUTEBOL project was presented in the 77th 3GPP SA1 meeting by the INTEL delegate. The meeting happened in the Jeju Island in Korea, between 13th to 17th of February 2017. The document that was presented describes the FUTEBOL consortium and its use-cases. The document was noted and appears in the meeting report. FUTEBOL at EVCOMP2017

From the 13th to 17th of February 2017,  The Department of Computing Sciences of UFMG held the 6th Computing Summer School, which aims the dissemination of knowledge, innovation and academic research on the big area of the Computing Sciences. FUTEBOL at FIBRE Face-to-Face Meeting 2017

Brazilian FUTEBOL partners that also manage FIBRE islands have participated the FIBRE face-to-face meeting this week. The meeting happened in 20-21 February and was hosted by Federal University of Goias (UFG) in Goiânia, Brazil.
