During the 22nd Conference on Optical Design and Network Modeling (ONDM 2018), https://metro-haul.eu/event/ondm-2018/, which was held in Dublin, organized by Dr. Marco Ruffini and hosted by TCD, Dr. Johann Marquez-Barja gave an invited talk about "Enabling 5G through end-to-end wireless and optical orchestration", in which he presented the FUTEBOL's Control Framework toolkit and our approach to enable a end-to-end testbed/network slice to allow wireless/optical experimentation.

Research Day at University of Antwerp

At University of Antwerp, within the Faculty of Applied Engineering, there is an special day for research called "Research Day" which was held on 04/05/2018. Dr. Johann Marquez-Barja was invited to give a talk about his ongoing research topics and, of course, FUTEBOL was covered. So our project have been presented to researchers in the faculty, and raised a lot of attention.

FUTEBOL at International Conference on Embedded Wireless Systems and Network (EWSN)

The FUTEBOL project was presented in an industrial panel at the International Conference on Embedded Wireless Systems and Network (EWSN), that was held in Madrid, Spain. This happened in the 16th of February 2018 and around 80 people were in the room. This year the featured topic was "Sustainable Embedded Wireless Systems", with contributions that were aimed to contain the energy cost and the carbon footprint of embedded wireless systems.

FUTEBOL at the CROWNCOM Conference

From the 20th to the 21st of September, 2017, the 12th EAI International Conference on Cognitive Radio Oriented Wireless Networks was held in Lisbon, Portugal. During this conference, the FUTEBOL Project was presented, with an experiment demonstration on LSA with Carrier Aggregation in the 3.5 GHz band. Also our Open Call was presented in the FIRE workshop chaired by Jorge Pereira (EC).
